interesting work!

interesting work!

I am assuming this was shot with the new JVCHD100
did you use the standard lens?
considering - like you say - no budget and time
great look and feel!

looks as if you used all natural light
did you reflect light at all ? looks as though might have in a some shots
DOF on the close ups - what was your camera distance to subject ?

what platform and codec did you edit with ?
formatting for web ouput - what are your specs ?
looks very clean

sorry for all the questions

keep it up
cheers

who did the production on the song? the beats, are dope. not a big fan of the girl, but if you could hook me up with some info on the producer, i'd like to talk to him.

the video was too flat. I'd do some color correcting before final output. since it's a music video, don't be afraid to make it look crazy. also the slow mo is the jank jank. there are a couple threads here that focus on getting good slow mo, you might want to check them out. I like the part playing backwards alot. i wish the whole video was like that.

good job on the cheap.

For me the video is another evidence for the quality of the HD100 pictures. Really the greatest cine look of all affordable SD/HD camcorders up to now. Sometimes it looks like super 16 to me.

I'm not really experienced enough to get technical.. but I really liked it.

Just a question regarding the scene were she's walking one way, and everyone else is moving the other way... did you organize them all as extras (like, people that you knew?) Considering it was null budget etc...

Also, what equipment used to get the low-high elivated shots? (jib or whatever?)

Thanks,

jg

the filming of people in revers is used live on the street.. without any kind og planning. but the girl did everything in revers. then we reversed the sequence in editing program. if u look at bikecycle and the 2 people on jogging.. it was very cool and it justhappend on the loction without our knowledge.

we used Cobra cran II+ extender to get those crane shot.

if u need more infor please ask.

i want to talk to him/her, and see if i can commision him/her to write a song for me.

I just think it was cool that the ppl did not 'react' to your filming either... looked natural (in my opinion). Very cool.

What type of rig/device do you use for the shots where you raised and tilted the camera (I'm not familiar with the termonology for this technique, but hopefully you'll know what i'm getting at :) One of my favourite parts was when you did this in that reversal scene.

That street seemed like a really nice location.

Thanks,

jg

Actually I liked the overall look and feel.

The only thing missed here is some decent lighting to bring the subjects out a bit.
This would of really accentuated the girl while still retaining the overall look.
