Gialloesque

I know I'm knew to this site but is there any reason why people are falling over themselves to post comments on the Dario Argento documentary thread, stating they're huge fans of him, and then completely ignoring a short film made in homage to his genre. Sorry I'm probably being overly sensitive but I wouldn't have posted my film if the above mentioned thread hadn't implied an interest by the folks here.

Sorry, man. I didn't see this until now. I dug it. You did a great job of mixing in various elements from several Argento flicks, like photography of the victims (Tenebre, Bird) and his trademark trenchcoat/hat wearing killer. Did you play the killer like Dario always does?

Cheers for the encouraging comments. I'm sure it's not up to the standard you have produced but we had fun making it. It was filmed for a 2 minute horror competition and as I love Giallo, and in particular Dario Argento, I couldn't resist using the genre as a template. And no I didn't provide the black gloved hand. I was the recipient of the blade.

I didn't like how they talked to their phones in an expository manner, I also think you cut angles way to much in the woods scene. Overall it wasn't bad but it wasn't impressive. I'm being blunt.

I did fall over laughing when the second brit guy rushes through the door and it sounded like someone just logged onto aim.

Haha

Hi Prodigy.

Thanks for taking the time to watch and post a comment. I agree with your views. Both the dialogue and rapid editing stem from the limitations of trying to squeeze a plot into the 2 minute time frame, dictated by the horror competition. It's just a shame you couldn't have pointed out some of the positives for a more balanced view. I'm very accessible to criticism to help improve future projects and I welcome your honesty, but I don't believe for one second there was nothing of worth to point out.

btw I don't know what you are refering to with respect to logging on to aim.

Cheers.
