Hi all,

I have a GH1 which was hacked when purchased 2nd hand - I have not found out how to do it myself to rehack it and check that this is accurate.

I notice ghosting when panning away from light bulbs like this

Is this normal? Was shot on 720 50p, 1/50th shutter.

Thanks

yeah i have a UV on it but i experienced similar blur when filming in front of a window and thought it might have been the filter so I removed it but I think I saw the same blur?

Many filters aside from a few high end ones cause this ghosting issue you are experiencing. Take the filter off when shooting this particular scene and i'm sure you wont have the problem again. Assuming your not using old school lenses that have this ghosting issue because of the lens design.

it was a modern lens but not a fantastic one. A Tamron 17-50 canon fit via m43 adapter.

I wish I'd taken the filter off for this particular scene instead of in front of the window as this is far easier to spot the ghosting
