Ghost Rider

For some unknown reason I saw Elecktra, and yes I regret it. How that story got greenlighted is beyond me... it is so stupid, the gang of super bad guys that she battles, every single one of them is superior to her in fighting and power, yet she someone manages to gut them with her blades. Don't ever watch this movie my friends, it's just boring and dumb, not the worst movie ever made category, but you'll want to turn it off after 15 minutes and attempt to build a time machine so you can go back in time to stop yourself from renting it.

As for rehashing old shows:

Isn't JohnWoo redoing friggin He-Man, and he's also bringing Spy Hunter(the video game) to the big screen starring the Rock.

John Woo just needs to stop. Or BE stopped. Whichever comes first. He's become a sad cliche'.

I just saw the trailer on HDnet. Even though I don't like too many of the moves, I like to see the effects. I think comic books make great movies if they do it right. There are plenty of movies based on books and I think it's wonderful to see iconic characters come to life on the big screen.

"Dallas" is in production. I don't even know what that show is. "Magnum PI" is in the works with the director of "Dodgeball" attached to write and direct. There's also gonna be an A-Team movie.

I think the X-Men cartoon would be awesome as a Frank Miller-style greenscreen ultraviolent epic. I want to do that one.

GHOST RIDER IS THE WORST FILM OF 2007(thus far).

Bad plot acting script and director cgi also inaccurate to the comic in almost everyway... It sucked sucked sucked sucked. I could go on but it sucked.

no il will continue to watch them but this was pure **** it was like what if constantine sucked and didnt have a dark theme to it and it was all of the sudden blood and chocolate or covenant..... i read the comics and man the writer/director (he also did the job on daredevil) doees the thing PWSA does for video game series resident evil series and his new venture castlevaina god damn it i pisses me off i could write better stories than these guys making millions for it. dman it.

My husband & son are watching it right now, so I'll be interested to hear what they say....from what you are saying, Spidey, I doubt I've missed much. Lol.

iti loved it when they were trying to make jokes or love they make stupid jokes like my heads on fire or numskull or listen if you can through your thick skull.. RAAAAAAH

PROBLEM 1 with Ghost Rider = Nic Cage

I would make a kick ass photoshop pic of Nic Cage from Gone in 60 Seconds with a flaming head, but I am currently too lazy.

This looks like a giant SUCK fest. Of course, it doesn't help that Nic (Over the Top) Cage is starring.

This old promo pic is all I needed to see to know I never wanted to see this movie. Ever. Ever. Ever.

The only performance of Cage I've enjoyed was in Face/Off. And if I watched it again today, I'd probably hate him in that too. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt though.

crap... crap crap crap

And the only thing Cage was semi-decent in was Valley Girl - and that was over 20 years ago...

-Birdy
-Peggy Sue Got Married
-Raising Arizona
-Red Rock West
-Honeymoon in Vegas
-Leaving Las Vegas
-Bringing out the Dead
-Adaptation
-I kinda like Matchstick Men

Cage is hit or miss. When he misses it can be ugly, but he has carried some pretty good movies. Raising Arizona is a classic.

i honestly enjoyed the film. pure comic book movie. plain and simple. Eva Mendes' acting was horrible at times... (just eye candy), and Cage's acting was perfect for that role. he's always been a huge Ghost Rider fan, and wanted to stay pretty faithful to the comics.

just my 2 cents

I was going to add Raising Arizona to the very short list... my sister loves that movie and he actually fits the role quite well - but for some reason, I just don't like the thing.

I'd almost rather watch Tom Cruise then Nick Cage...

Great list, Aloysiusk. I can't imagine anyone playing H.I. in Raising Arizona but Cage. I think it's funny how people knock Cage when we all pray to find as good as actor as Cage in any of our movies or be able to make a movie as good as any on Aloysiusk's list. Cage has been in some bad movies but what actor hasn't.

They should have cast Cage as one of the demons. You know he'd do a great evil character. For a replacement, Timothy Olyphant would probably do a great job. As for the director...most anybody. Myself, perhaps. Hell, the bum down on the street corner.
