GH5 GH5 Wired Remote For Controlling Focus?

Are there any wired remotes out there with a knob that will control the focus of Panasonic lenses on the GH5?

If so, which ones?

Thank you for your time.

Panasonic lens control remotes typically use two connectors: a 2.5mm plug for zoom control and start/stop recording, and a 3.5mm plug for focus and iris control. Panasonic camcorders have two (appropriately sized) jacks for this, but the GH5 only has a single 2.5mm jack. As a result, an external remote plugged into the GH5's 2.5mm remote port can only start and stop recording (or shutter release in photo mode) and control zoom (for the handful of Micro 4/3 power zoom lenses).

Obviously it would be possible to use a follow focus system to control the focus ring (although this works better on lenses with some form of direct focus control, rather than focus by-wire).

And then there is the Wi-Fi app and Lumix Tether software (over USB to a laptop), which both allow for remote focus control. I'm not sure if anyone has figured out the details of the USB protocol used by the tethering software yet, but with knowledge of the protocol details, it would theoretically be possible to create a focus control remote that worked over USB. There are some solutions like this for Canon DSLRs, for example.

I really hope Zihyun can figure out and implement a firmware update to the new Crane 2, so that the follow focus can be used on the GH5.

As long as "Shutter AF" is on, this wired remote, https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/766338-REG/Vello_RS_P1II_RS_P1II_Wired_Remote_Switch.html will control autofocus. Not exactly what the OP was looking for but it does work
