GH5 GH5 vs GH4 - did the GH4 look better in some instances?

It's just how websites work and they can all work/react differently based on their front-end/back-end development.

If you clear your settings and/or check on a different day in the future, it may be another random camera on top.

Currently, the Nikon D5 was on top for me when I clicked 'DSLR cameras' but it's not even in the top 10 on the 'Best Sellers' list. Then when I tried a different browser, it was the Canon 5D Mark IV on top (which is #3 on the 'Best Sellers').

But again, we may be seeing different things...IDK.

But regardless of what we are seeing, a person needs to click an item in the 'Sort By' drop-down list to refresh the accurate results.

There is more going on with regard to B&H's listings aside from sales to the public.

Money.

From manufacturers to store buyers.

Displays, lists, non of them tell a true story, although I think TheDingo is closer to reality, since Panasonic and B&H don't have as close a relationship as Sony, (and in days gone by, Canon and Nikon) so Panasonic being up there is a testament to real sales.

But I wouldn't read to much into these things.

To be honest I really don't give a darn which camera is the best seller. I never base what camera I buy on what is popular with the masses. If that were the case I would have skipped the GH1 and every GH since and dove headfirst into Canon DSLRs.

I use what I determine best fits my needs and the GH cameras have always been at the bottom of the pack in terms of sales. At least I believe that is the case when I travel the world and see 99% of tourists walking around with Canon and Nikon cameras and when Youtube and forums are flooded with Canon users. We Panasonic users are a small tribe.

I don't read into it either...the Panasonics are amazing cameras and one of my favorites was the G85 I would travel a lot with, but the a7III is an insanely popular camera as well. The Sony mirrorless crowd (at least the one here) is pretty quiet...but they are a massive group around the world (and that includes all of the photographers which are definitely looking at larger sensor cameras).

Does the 1:1 sensor readout, or oversampling on the EVA1, do anything to contribute to the image rendition differences seen between C200 and EVA1?

A good side by side is here on Zacuto shootout @ 1:17ish.

Also noticeable if you just search vimeo for c200, and then again for eva1, and watch a dozen. Pretty consistent through and through - C200 seems a little more smooth and rounded, EVA1 seems sharp and crisp. Out of focus BG on EVA1 is also much clearer/crisper still - more detail.

^^ That may be true - and not trying to make a statement on which has an objectively better image -- but I am trying to deduce specifically this one parameter of the image rendition. The EVA1 sometimes just has a much flatter and crisper look that I can't properly articulate (my word choice may be off there, as well) vs what seems a smoother or rounder look on the C200 (or the Varicam LT, even). But what is it? Or am I the only one perceiving this as such?

I would love to see a critical review of the EVA1 image when recording RAW to an external recorder. I suspect RAW might give the EVA1 some advantage when compared to the C200 in RAW-Lite.
