GH5 GH5 has auto focus for photos but not video

Suddenly, the autofocus on my GH5 will not work for videos. It works fine for photos, but not for videos. I've tried different lenses, but the same result: Autofocus works for photos but not for videos. I've checked settings, turned the camera on & off a few times and even removed the battery for 30 seconds... no luck. Any thoughts on what I need to do to get autofocus to work again for videos?

Thanks!

Do you mean continuous autofocus ( AFC on the GH5 camera control ) or single point autofocus ? ( AFS on the GH5 camera control )

It will not focus in video in single-point mode (AFS). I seldom use AFC. When I'm in video mode, my GH5 is manual focus only; as soon as I switch to a photo mode, autofocus works.

What if you use the touch-to-focus feature using the LCD screen ? Does that work ?

No, touching the screen when the camera is in video mode has no effect. In photo modes, touching the screen will put a focus box on the screen and do a focus. But in video mode, the camera is in manual focus mode only -- even when the switch is in the autofocus position.
