GH5 GH5 clip marking feature

I am considering the purchase of a GH5, but have been unable to find the answer to an important question regarding a specific functionality.

The ability to mark or tag a clip when filming is an invaluable time saver for me in the context of many projects which amass hundreds of very short clips. With my Panasonic HPX-250 I can easily mark a clip with one of the user buttons before I stop recording. Then when I'm finished with the shoot, I know at a glance which handful of clips I will upload for editing instead of reviewing hundreds to find the footage I need. With the Panasonic G7, I am unable to do this. *Are you aware of a solution or method to mark clips with the GH5? Thank you in advance for your time.

Piggy backing on this...

I'm actually surprised someone doesn't make an accessory for marking timecode into the camera with markers that import into Premiere and other NLEs.

If this exists, someone please share!

I would love to be able to record an interview, and everytime someone has a killer sounbite, just tap a marker button that would leave a TC marker in metadata for implementation in post (perhaps via a plug-in). Not just a CLIP marker, but a specific timecode within a clip.

Thank you both for such quick responses. To filmguy123: yes, this is very much in line with the kind of capability I am seeking with a new camera. Even the ability to take a photo while in video record mode would be a way to "flag" that particular file before recording the next clip. Metadata or otherwise, it would be great to attach something to a file for quick reference later. Hoping someone might have a creative solution with the GH5.

If you use an external recorder like an Atomos you can make the clips recorded externally. Not as convenient but it is an option.
