I haven't heard any Panasonic reps say the sensor is Micro Four Thirds yet. Not even in the press release. Maybe something else is going on inside the GH5? Maybe something like the JVC LS300. S35 with MFT mount.

Another possibility is that it could be a multi aspect ratio sensor. In other words, larger than MFT, but fit all frame aspect ratios within the MFT image circle. I think I've read someone else speculating if this might be the case.
