GH4 GH4 with YAGH-Outputting 1080 video via one of the 4 1080 outs

Hello, Just bought the GH4 and used it on a job this past week. VG, sharp looking picture. Was able to output a 1080 signal out of the HDMI on the YAGH(via an HDMI to SDI converter).
Was not able to get a 1080 signal out of any one of the 4 SDI outs on the YAGH.
I rented the YAGH($100 for 9 days). I talked to the people that rented it and they said that to achieve 1080 out thru one of the SDI outs, you needed to have it set on MP4, which I changed it to(from .Mov), but still no recognizable 1080 signal. Also tried AVCHD.
I just assumed that you would automatically get a 1080 signal out of one the YAGH SDI outs.
Read the GH4 & YAGH(minuscle) manuals & looked all over the internet to see if you needed to have the GH4 set to a particular setting. Found nothing.
Have shot video since the early '80s, broadcast news, video production, sports with the large Sony, Ikegami video cameras/decks, etc. Love the new technology with smaller,
lighter, super high resolution cameras.
Anybody have a suggestion.

What system frequency do you have the GH4 set to? 24 Hz or 59.94 Hz (NTSC)? You may have to be outputting 59.94 to get 1080p out the YAGH SDI. Just a hunch.

I also inquired about this, and did not find any satisfactory results, so I just use the HDMI output. I did do some experiments using a Blackmagic 4K SDI to HDMI mini converter and found that 24 fps was the only thing coming out of the YAGH that was visible on and HDMI monitor via the SDI out, and it was not all file formats, don't remember which of the options it was between .mov, avchd, etc.

In the menu, under the Yagh unit section, find a spot where it says "down convert to 1080" and you get 4 BNC's out with a 1080 image. It's not immediately obvious but you know it's there, just find it...
