GH4 Gh4 with DMW-YAGH playback question.

I'm using a clients GH4 with DMW-YAGH (no manuals) and need to know if you can playback video and audio out of the combo via SDI and / or HDMI out. What settings in the menu will allow this? Thanks.
 
Why does my answer make no sense or not answer your question?

Yes we have been able to playback from the SDI out with the YAGH attached, and straight through the HDMI without the YAHH attached.

What do you not understand?

Did you read the manuals yet?

In the time it has taken to start this thread and go back and forth you could have read the manual about 20 times. This is not a complex thing that isn't documented. There are plenty of websites that go through the process as well and about a five second google search reveled multiple sources of information. It also takes about 30 seconds of changing settings in the camera to find a solution that works for your gear.

We don't know what format you are shooting with or what type of video formats your gear can take. Typically you need to match the recording format to the camera output format and to the format the input device can take in. Some switchers and other gear can only take in broadcast formats like 1080i 29.97i or 720p 59.94p. Were you outputting 4k from the camera into a HD only device? Yeah that wouldn't work for obvious reasons. Were you trying to use a bastard format like 1080p 30p which doesn't exist to some video equipment?

Match the camera format/camera output format/input device format and you should be good to go. Beyond reading your mind and knowing what any of those formats are we can't provide any other information.

Please also don't assume just because you post a question that you deserve an answer. Especially when it is something that can be found in the manual within a few minutes. Being rude is a sure way to get people to never provide any help in any forum. Ask nicely and be descriptive and thank people for their precious time to help you and you will likely get more help from people. We also cannot read your mind. You need to give us details.
 
Didn't mean to be rude. My deepest apologies. I still don't have an answer for my client who I would love to give the answer to so they can playback footage in the field from his GH4/YAGH combo. "Auto sensing" pro Panasonic 18.5" SDI monitor. (The last iteration of the the 17" "industry standard".)

Record 1080/29.97. internally - go into playback and nothing via SDI or HDMI - please let me know any specific in camera settings. Thanks in advance.
