I had a great time shooting with the GH4 and 2.0 anamorphic today. Took quite a bit to get used to it and then the music was over so I got about 10 minutes of practice in there. It's definitely not quite a run and gun event setup by any means but it's still possible. I used a manfroto monopod but next time I'm going to definitely get my monitor out there. I might have to upgrade to a 7 inch or larger due to the squish... The lens works well but at a 2.8 it's a bit slow for this type of lighting and venue and I had to gain up too much. I think when I use the Sigma 1.8 and metabones then I'll be able to keep the ISO under 1600. most of this was at 3200.
It's a pretty small compact rig and super happy to have this one! I have another on order and hopefully the new SLRmagic when that ships. I'm sold on this setup for the GH4 and I think that if the A7s goes this root that will be a great camera!
cheers for watching and comments and feedback are welcome. Shooting with this adapter makes me excited all over again, Just like the Gh2 and 25mm Nocton did when I got that some years back!
