GH4 GH4 sync issues

Has anybody had sync issues with the GH4? I shot an interview for a client and he reported back to me that everything was 2 frames out of sync (not sure in which direction). I was shooting C4K, with a mini-HDMI running to an external Samsung TV as a client monitor. I guess it's a relatively easy fix, but hopefully not something I'm going to have to consistently deal with moving forward.

Any thoughts?

yes, anytime I've had to manually sync dailies from the GH4, i've noticed the audio recorded in-camera has been 2 frames off.

Interesting. This is the first time I or a client have noticed it. I'll look back at older footage. Is there a fix other than adjusting in post? Thanks for the replies!

Are there any DSLR / Mirrorless cameras that have exact sync ? I remember this issue first popping up with the Canon 5D Mk2 quite a while back, and have always assumed that every DSLR/Mirrorless camera has this issue.

I've not had any sync issues with my GH2.

My GH2 cameras did not have frame accurate audio sync. Just shoot a slate being clapped and see where the audio spike is relative to the frame that shows the clapper closed, it was NEVER at exactly the same point on my timeline.

I've had the same results with slate on my GH2's...and I also get this with my GH4. Usually 2 frames with GH2, and 1-2 with GH4.

What software are you guys editing with? Any patches on the GH2?

Using Moon T7 and Adobe Premiere Pro, no sync issues here.

It did not matter what patches I used, the results were always the same.

Have you done an actual clapper test with a slate ?

...As I stated previously, I haven't found any DSLR/Mirrorless camera where the audio spike and the slate image were a perfect match. It's always out by 1-3 frames.

It's easy to fix in post if you want frame accurate audio.

Are you giving the client the original media, or is this going through an NLE? if so, which one?

Sorry for the lag. I'm giving the client the original media and he is viewing it in Premiere Pro. In FCP 7, it appears to be slightly out of sync as well.
This is a problem. Is Panasonic aware of this?

Again, I've seen this with every DSLR / Mirrorless camera I've ever used for audio, so this is nothing new. It goes all the way back to 2008 with the Canon 5D Mk2 that had exactly the same problem.
