Im getting some odd looking blue flaring at the wider end of the sigma18-35 even on overcast days. Is this just part of having the extra glass with the metabones speed booster? It tends to be this hot spot in the middle and its quite distracting and unpredictable where it will show up.
That sucks, I got that crap from a cheap Chinese booster (RJ) but because it cost $100 bucks I accepted that. I would expect super expensive Metabones would have it under control...
Speedbooster ULTRA? Interesting. I could imagine a flag would help in some scenarios, but perhaps not in all scenarios. Try it without the speed booster and see if you still get the flaring.
So after doing some digging, ive seen other people online with similar issues, its commonly referred to as sensor reflection and is generally supposed to be mitigated on expensive metabones boosters. I dont see it when shooting inside or at larger apertures so I guess im just gonna have to forgo some deep focus shots outside during the day and open the iris up. The frame I posted earlier was shot at f11 stopped all the way down.
