UPDATE: GH4 + batteries got sold separately. I will figure out a new package price and / or maybe re-list / start a new thread.
For sale is my beloved GH4 and the wonderfully sharp, fast Sigma 18-35 1.8 & Speed Booster combo.
Quite early in my GH4's life, I discovered that combo worked really well. When I wanted a different zoom range, I'd swap out the Speed Booster for the other Metabones adapter or use another lens. But that happened rarely, so I treated the camera mostly as if the 18-35 and Speed Booster was bolted on.
It's a great ergonomic setup. You can smoothly control aperture on modern Nikon lenses with both Metabones adapters. And the 18-35 focuses the correct cine direction. I do wish was that it were fully parfocal. I believe it may be possible to adjust this with the Speed Booster but I haven't really felt like monkeying around with it. I just use it as the nicest variable prime ever.
You also get a bunch of batteries (only one is genuine Panasonic) - probably more batteries than you need based on how long the GH4 lasts. Only thing is I can't find the darn chargers. They're either in my apartment somewhere or in a bag that got last on my last shoot (aargh!). If I find them I'll include them. Otherwise they are around $15 on Amazon / B&H.
The GH4 was bought new in the USA and has had the audio fix done to it. It's not on the latest firmware but can be upgraded, of course. The Sigma was bought from DigitalRev, and had a UV filter on pretty much the whole time.
You also get a Canon lens cap... because I can't find the Sigma one and nothing confuses people more than a Panasonic camera with a Nikon lens mount, a Sigma lens and a Canon lens cap. It's fun!
MY PRICE FOR THE LOT: $1800 (including insured FedEx US ground shipping and 3% for PayPal)
BTW, in case anyone is wondering about the math... I basically priced out as follows:
GH4 & batteries - $900
Metabones Speed Booster Nikon to M43 adapter - $325
Metabones Nikon F to M43 Adapter - $100
Sigma 18-35 1.8 - $600
... then subtracted $200 and added on a bit for shipping and PayPal stuff. Seems fair?
Please email me at boacinema (at) gmail (dot) com if interested. I live in Los Angeles.
Thanks!
