GH4 GH4 recording 4K with DMW-YAGH Interface Unit - monitor in HD when recording 4K?

This is probably a stupid question, but does anybody know from reading the information out there if you can monitor the GH4 while recording 4K with an HD monitor via SDI? (SmallHD or Panasonic BTLH1700W, etc...) Thanks.
 
Monitor the GH4, how, in that circumstance?

I expect the built-in screen would work, as would any external monitor in the SDI chain.

Yes, outputting 1080p to an external SDI monitor while recording 4K internally *should* be possible as the HDMI can do it.

Another way to think of it is as a system. If you use the GH4 & YAGH base to send a 4K signal to an Odyssey7Q, then it will (1) record the 4K in a less compressed format than the camera can internally, (2) act as a quality HD monitor with numerous exposure and focusing tools, and (3) act as an in-line downcoverter/distribution box by outputting two SDI feeds and one HDMI feed all in 1920x1080 HD.

If you look at the video posted above, at 6 minutes in they show the combination of GH4/YAGH/Odyssey7Q. We make some Ultra-thin SDI cables so small (yet rugged) that four of them are still less than the diameter of a single standard SDI cable.

Speaking of the YAGH interface, does anyone know if the rod mounts at the front are the 1/2" 13 standard, or are they some other proprietary format?

To me, they look like screw holes, I'm assuming which would mean you could screw in any number of rail diameters.

Like I said, it's almost definate that because the GH4 can send 1080p out its HDMI port while recording 4K internally, that this same 1080p signal will be sent to the YAGH SDI ports when it is attached. The YAGH gets its video feed from the GH4's HDMI port.
