I do not have any manual aperture control for any lenses. My AIS or Sigma 18-35nikon mount. Anyone had similar issues. The apeture ring on the metabones does nothing. I can manually adjust the Nikon but can't on the sigma. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you setting the adapter ring to it's mid-point before attaching it to the lens? If you have the ring turned fully one way or the other, the mechanical tabs may not engage properly. (The Metabones website mentions this.)

The connection between the lens and adapter is mechanical (one tab simply pushes the other) so also check that nothing has gotten slightly bent.

Thanks, that worked!!!

Is that exactly right? I was always under the impression that you had to set the aperture ring on the adaptor to fully open before mounting the lens. That's what I've been doing all along and it's worked fine - have I been doing it wrong?

Well, I actually started twisting it w/o a lens on and about halfway the lever popped into place. After that I put on the lens and it worked correctly. I will try it wide open and see if there is a difference. There maybe something going on with the lever. It was not engaging the lens aperture.

Actually this is what the Metabones site, says, which isn't quite the same either:
Before mounting your lens to the adaptor, please make sure that the f-stop of aperture ring on the adaptor is turned to "7" (i.e. mounting your lens to the adaptor while only the aperture ring in the adaptor is full closed.).

The point is, with certain settings of the adapter ring, the tabs don't engage. As long as the aperture does change, you aren't doing it "wrong".

Apologies! I meant, of course, fully closed (i.e. setting 7), not fully open! I always assumed it was to prevent possible damage to the Speedbooster or the lens mechanism so I have never tried any other setting to see what happens.
