Hey guys, just wanted to step in here and share that I had the privilege of being the DOP and camera Op for all of the verite portions of this Documentary priemiering on Oct. 18th on nat geo. We shot it all on two Gh4s, some go pros and nikon DSLRs for Time-lapse. Being only two shooters I'm sure we missed stuff but I think it turned out pretty decent. Sadly Due to editing limitations we had to shoot in 50 m/bit 1080 for the majority of the shoot, only getting to bump up for over cranked shots and 4k plates. Had a great time, both Gh4s worked nonstop for many 14hr days. Shot primarily on Rokinon Ds w/ speed boosters cine lenses and a fair amount on the 14-140 and a speed boosted 17-50 2.8. Fstoppers just wrote a piece on the photo https://fstoppers.com/film/new-phot...bin-could-be-worth-astounding-5-million-91924
Just thought I would stick my head in here and tell you the Gh4 played a major role, shot the Recreations on C300, but I did not crew for any of the recreation shoots. Didn't get to meet Costner but was cool to be on a project he is so involved with.
