GH4 in the Wilderness

Shot this in the Raven Cliffs Wilderness Area in N. GA. I last visited there 5 years ago with my HPX170 so I thought it was time for a revisit with a different camera. This was shot in April 2015 using a Panasonic GH4 camera at 60fps and 200mbps, using a standard and vivid color profile and the following lenses: Panasonic 14-45, 45-175, and Olympus 60mm macro as well as a 75-300. Other equipment used was an Ifootage Shark slider, Benro S-6 tripod and Glideshot jib.

Mark, I always enjoy seeing your work, the quality is incredible. BTW how did you get the slow shutter effect of softening the flow of the creek. Looks much the same as stills I have seen shot at 1/2 a second or longer.

Thanks for sharing.

I get this question a lot. The scenes were shot at either 1/60 or 1/125 shutter speed. Then I add a filter in post called "motion blur" in Edius. It is adjustable and works great on still days when the wind is not blowing. I don't have the skill or patience to do a proper time lapse.
