GH4 GH4 has "entry level" 4K?

Shooting at 4K for HD distribution gives you the chance to reframe without loss of definition - even if in the end you don't use that possibility, having the choice is a good thing. Personally I like the comfort factor and the added flexibility. I haven't seen the review so don't know whether they cover that.

i like to crop in with 4k but shooting with my gh4 in 4k and my gh3 i see NO difference in quality.

I almost always shoot GH4 4K and then down-rez to 1080 HD, and there is noticeable extra sharpness in the down-rezzed 4K image when compared to 1080 HD from my GH3.
( along with no moire at all in the down-rezzed 4K image )

When viewed at 4K the 1080 HD from the GH3 lacks significant detail compared to the GH4 4K image. The difference very obvious.

Gotta agree with this 100 percent. Granted, the Gh3 and 4 work very well together, and in some types of shots they are indistinguishable, but there are plenty of times where the downrezzed 4k just looks sharper and better than what the Gh3 can deliver. I would also add that there is better color tonality in the GH4 image, probably due to all the extra pixels creating more subtle transitions in color. This makes skin tone in close-ups look very nice indeed.
