GH4 Gh4 Gx7 comparison

Don't know how I missed and slept on the gx7 for the past year but in watching for footage to see if the gh4 is the cam for me I stumbled upon some gorgeous footage from the gx7. The color and motion of that cam paired with nice lenses really made me order one. My question is can anyone direct me to a link to a 1080 comparison as I would be interested to see how the gh4 stacks up in low light... I have seen the gh3 but in my opinion the gx7 looks alot better image wise so am only interested in the gx7 gh4 comparison. Thanks everyone.
 
I had the GX7 after a brief stint with the GH3 (which I really didn't like). Then came the GH4 and 4k-to-1080 and I've gone that route. Never did any tests, but I'd say the 1080 on the GX7 was a little cleaner/less aliasing than 1080 on GH3/4, and that the latitude was very similar. Max 28mbps bugs me, but it looked great.

And it's a darned nice looking rig to port around. A modern classic.
 
Thanks slot for this. I had the gh3 as well and sent it back a week after. But everything im seeing from the gx7 looks so well balanced with color, DR, and detail. It just looks natural to me. I was thinking of the gh4 for second cam but im not really needing 4k at the moment so will maybe just pic up another gx7 second hand.

I think it stacks up very well between the BMCC and FS700.

And like you said, the portability and its physic make it a real pleasure to use.

I also wish the max bitrate was a little higher.
As much as I did not enjoy the GH3 as a camera, I sometimes miss that finer "coat" over the footage that it had which came with a broader bitrate.
 
Hey vinyl stax. I found and watched this yesterday and this really helped me make my decision. Great work here as well as overall mood and asthetics.
