So I have been playing around with the custom setups, trying to find a simple, quick way to switch back and forth between various video/photo modes. The custom modes (C1, C2, etc) work great at first glance, until I realized that they are fairly strict. They save ISO, WB, Shutter Speed and Aperture as well, which is fine, but when you turn off the camera or it goes to sleep, these revert back to saved, which means that unless you are always filming with the same fixed lighting, then these modes are mostly useless.
The regular movie mode doesn't have this issue, but it shares settings with the photo mode (Q-Menu, picture mode, etc). So switching between movie mode and photo mode will always take some setup.
Has anyone figured out a workaround for this?
