GH4 GH4 Battery Chargers flashing green

Both of my GH4 chargers are flashing green. This only happens with some of the batteries. The batteries are not full; they have two bars. Normally they show solid green until fully charged, then the light goes off. What does a blinking green light indicate?

Hmm, I scraped what looked like crud/dirt off the battery contacts and now they seem to be charging fine.
