GH3 Gh3 recording modes

Hi. I have quock question to gh3 users. I ordered mine but still dont have it. Anyway, there is new rec mode in mov format, all - i. It is written in mov format on the memory card. Does it mean you can put file directly to final cut pro, or you still have to transcode it to apple pro res or similar codec?

Thats great. But does it work well i mean like native files? Canon 60d for example also writes mov files, but it didnt work well in fcp (as i remember, that was over 2 years ago).

I got my GH3 today morning and I can say, there is no chance to get the 50 mbit .mov files play smoothly in FCPX. But in Premiere CS6, they are playing very smooth.

Sorry you has that experience, I got my GH3 on Wednesday and shot some 72mbit, .MOV video and it worked as smooth as butter in FCPX on my 2.93, Core i7, 8gig ram iMac.

What computer do you have. I have mac mini 2.53 ghz, 4 gb ram. But i am planning upgrade to mini i5 with 16 gb. Do you think will it work good? Do you think intell hd4000 is going to be big problem?

Sorry, but the 72mbit Mov is I-frame only. Of course it runs smooth. 50p MOV is intra frame and it doesn´t run smooth in FCPX on my hackintosh I7 2600k Geforce GTX570 12 GB Ram and a Samsung SSD.

With Premiere the file runs like charm.
