GH3 GH3 not recording correctly

Shot my first event with the GH3 and formatted the sd card in-camera and set the format to record in the AVCHD 24 fps 1920x1080. When I got home and played it back, it was playing back in the 720x480 format!!!! Not a happy camper. Anyone have any clue as to what happen. Tried it again at home, and the same thing happen again. When I change the recording format to 1920x 1080 60 fps it plays back in that format. What gives?
 
what are you playing it back on? The GH3 doesn't record in 720x480 so it can't change to it. Maybe you are playing back on 720x480 screen.
 
Sorry guys, it shows up as 1920 x 1080 once I bring it up in cs6. When I click on the clip off the card it shows up below as 720x480. Go figure.
 
Hi Edrakel - Did you ever figure out why the SDHC card info in the "detail" tab when checking file properties shows it as 720 x 480 format? The GH2 would show the correct file size in the "detail" tab so I'm worried I have a setting wrong somewhere. But, like you mentioned once I bring it into the editing software it reads it correctly...so maybe I shouldn't worry about it? Has anyone else notice this difference between the GH2 and the GH3? Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks:) Data.jpg
 
maybe its a codec issue in windows? I say if it looks good in the editor, go with it. Thats really all that matters in the long run. does it look 1080? I would think you would see a huge difference between the 2.
 
Yes, it looks fine in the editor and looks 1080 and the editor says it's 1080. It's just so odd it displays the wrong information when checking the properties info from outside an editing system. Maybe it is a windows issue and not GH3 thing. I googled a lot looking for others with this problem and it didn't turn up much; so that made me really worried I was doing something wrong...yikes.
