Hello,

When I use my panasonic 12-35mm 2.8 when I put it on MF, and change the focus, a zoom screen appears that helps me focus manually.

Now when I put on my canon 50mm 1.8(with converter), the zoom screen does not pop up?

How to get this to work with my 50mm 1.8?

Thanks

There is no electronic connection between your Canon lens and body so the GH3 has no idea what focus your lens is set at. This is determined digitally, not visually. So, you're not gonna have it for your Canon 50mm. You'll get used to it. For me, the MF Guide (what you're referring to) is really only useful for focus-by-wire lenses, generally speaking, the native lenses for m43. The focus throws are so long on the native lenses its nice to be reminded what direction you're focusing in as it isn't immediately apparent on screen. However, with a Canon FD lens, it's very easy to see which direction your focus is going in.
