GH3 GH3 HDR Mode

Has anybody been able to reliably use the GH3 HDR? I find that sometimes it's disabled, even when it's in stills mode. If I mess around with the settings I can enable it but I can't figure out the combination of prerequisites to get it working reliably. Any thoughts?

After searching the digital manual I found a section that says HDR doesn't work in raw picture modes.

I can't wait to get my GH3, mine has been on back order for months now! I didn't even know the GH3 had an in camera HDR mode. It makes sense it wouldn't work in raw mode.
