GH3 GH3 HDMI Info Display Setting

I noticed all the comments about the info display turning off on the GH3's OLED monitor. If you turn on HDMI Info Display (Rec) in the Output menu, does the info display stay on continuously on an external monitor even if it turns off on the camera's OLED monitor? I'm still considering buying a GH3 and I'm considering different workflow options.

I've gotten the display to stay on for 2 hours while recording on the external monitor. I think you just have to have the right display setting by toggling through the display button. If you're have the wrong setting, then the displays will go away after 10 seconds.
 
That's interesting. I'll try it next week as I'm getting an external monitor. I don't know why no one else noticed that. Thanks for the info.
