GH3 GH3 Displays "Shtr Speed Effect ON or OFF?

With Constant Preview Mode mapped to the Fn4 button, I see toggling between two on-screen messages:

"Shtr Speed Effect On Fn4" and "Shtr Speed Effect Off Fn4".

in the OFF position the movement is very steppy. In the ON position the motion seems normal.

I can't find anything in the manual that describes this on screen message. I know Constant Preview will show me what I'm recording but I'd like to dig a little deeper. I'm a bit concerned this seems to have been overlooked in the manual.

I would appreciate any guidance about this.

I'm a TV director/editor with reasonable technical background. I direct spots with Arri Alexa routinely, however I don't shoot or operate. I just bought my GH3 and I'm struggling with some of the hands on issues. This is all just for fun at this point, but it may be possible to use the GH3 on docs or lower budget web films. I'm trying to give the GH3 and the workflow a run-through.

Thanks!

i think when you press the button fir the first time , you see the real aperture effect and the second time the shutter speed effect.

Thanks, however I don't think that's it. The on screen message is displayed the first time I press the Preview button, and of the second press toggles the message.

i just tried and i am sure this is right.
First time shows the aperture change and in the second press show the shutter speed.

Just try it in the A mode.
Put an aperture of 22 for example and just press the Fn button. You will see the dof and the whole exposure is changing.

It is in the manual Page 91.
