GH3 GH3 audio improvements & new mic MS2

So, how does the GH3 compare to the GH2 and other DSLR/DSLMs audio-wise? I'm planning to use the GH3 for solo run-and-gun shooting, so it would be interesting to know which improvements Panasonic has been able to make on that front. Has the signal-to-noise ratio improved? And what about the new shotgun mic DMW-MS2? It looks pretty solid compared to the crappy MS1, but is it really a substantial improvement? It'd better be good with that price tag... Has anyone had the opportunity to test it? I wonder if it is a serious alternative to the Rode Videomic Pro or the NTG2?

I'm curious how the new 'weatherproofed' internal mics compare to the GH2's internal mics, (which for my purpose, work and sound even better than the DVX100 internal mics).

What is the MSRP? I haven't seen it anywhere.
I will probably just get the Rode. Especially since it comes with Pluralize until the end of the month!

I don't know about the United States, but here in Germany its 350 € incl. taxes, you can get it for 320 € on the street. The Videomic Pro is probably the better deal, although it doesn't have the advantage of being powered by the camera through the 3.5 jack.

My first post. I'm a sound guy first so camera audio is very important to me.

I have tested my GH3 with my Sound Devices MixPre D and am happy to say I hear no indication of ALC at all. The recorded audio sounds perfect. I have also plugged my Sennheiser G3 wireless mic receiver straight in to the GH3 and that worked beautifully. The Mic Level Adj is set at LEVEL 7. So far so good!

As for the new shotgun mic DMW-MS2, it's probably not for me. I don't like the idea of a "plug in powered" mic. It could only be used with the GH3, besides a loose 3.5mm connection will make a heck of a lot of noise. A self powered mic is more useful. For a quick camera mounted mic I'm leaning towards a Rode Stereo Mic Pro for ambient sound. I allready have a lav and shotgun connnected to my AF100. The only problem with a camera mounted stereo mic is the sound image keeps changing with camera panning.
