GH2 GH3 1080p 60fps 50fps bitrate and file size out the box?

I noticed Panasony will probably give up 1080p with 60fps in the GH3 right? The G5 and the diminutive DMC TZ30 already have this engine and frame rate. Best guess, what'll the bit rate be on the GH3?

Does anybody even care about 50/60fps? I like the smoother look and less noticeable jello. I'm not sure it'll be worth the jump in price yet.

I am guessing it will have 1080p60, but I care less about that than it having a global shutter capability, removing jello altogether.

Frame rate of the actual video does nothing for the Jello effect. The sensor readout rate is the only thing that affects it. Right now the GH2 and the G5 read at 120 FPS. The GH3 will most likely read at 250 FPS which will all but eliminate the Jello effect.

1080p @ 60 FPS and 720p @ 120 FPS are very useful for slow motion. It is likely that the GH3 will have both of those video modes.

While I am interested in the Gh3, I want to buy a Gh2 today because of the hack and ready to shoot now. I'm more than sure I get still sell the Gh2 only when the hack for GH3 is out. To my understanding a hacked gh2 would be better than a factory Gh3?

You've seen video taken by the GH3?

I'm about 99% sure that until the GH3 is hacked the GH2 because of the hack will still be a better camera. History repeats itself and the same thing happened the the GH2 came out. Also I put a question mark at the end of my post assuming and leaving doubt just incase. Ultimately though I have no idea and can only form an educated guess.

My hope is that they still include a 30p option, so altogether:
23.97, 25, 29.97, 50 and 60p

Plus 120 for 720p

But I could easily see them ditching 29.97 in favor of just 60p.

Why don't they just fix the appalling color banding issue in their AVCHD implementation on the GH2. It's a total disgrace really...

They thoroughly trashed 1080i on the G5 product page so you can bet that they won't ever do true 1080i/60 again. Instead they still include the 1080i/30 PSF on the cameras with 1080p @ 60 FPS. That should work for you right?

Why don't they just do 1080p @ 120 FPS? That is the universal format. You can extract 24, 30, 60, and 120 FPS from it without any conversions.
