GH3 GH3 1/48 shutter @ 24p?

um....what were we talking about again?? lol

Perhaps you're one of those people who can detect the difference in shutter speeds between 1/48 and 1/50 second...

Then there's special effects where things are shot at a slow frame rate, then speed up for inclusion in the film at 24 fps... and likewise slowed from umptyump fps to 24... and attendant non 1/48 second shutter... (Often involving water...).

I was just kidding.

Honestly though i think I have picked up on the differences of 1/48 vs 1/50. But I have been shooting with the gh-2 for so long now that I have nothing else to compare it to. So I'v e gotten used to shooting at 1/50.

I agree with lpowell though. The electronic shutter at 1/48 does not have the same look as a film cameraat 1/48. Digital/electronic shutter always had an over sharp look to it. Maybe that's why people like Kholi likes shooting at 1/40 on the GH-2.

Every one of these digital cameras seem different at similar shutter speeds to me.

Also a 1/40th shooter. I find it deals with light flicker much better then 1/48th or 1/50th is the US. I hate using 1/60th for 24p and while it may handle lights a bit better then 1/40th I find it a good balance in most situations.

1/100th for slow motion for the same look.
