Here is a thread dedicated to talking about the settings that produce high bit rate video with the hacked GH2 without any adverse affects. AKA 32+ mb/sec video settings.
Personally I don't see any reason to increase the bit rate above 32 mb/sec because I don't think you can tell the difference. Even if the 42 mb/sec settings didn't have adverse affects I don't think it would be worth it. The same goes for the 3 and 6 GOP settings.
Take a look at the sample images and see if you can properly identify the settings that were used.
