regarding the "brick," i think i remember that was resolved. and if someone says "at your own risk," then duh, why would someone go out of there way to try and help?

Because someone authored the hack, and wanted feedback from experimental patches?

Well....the *right* sort of feedback, I suppose.

It seems a bit like soldiering - retain your arms and legs, and you'll get a nice homecoming parade with lots of cheering and flag waving .

Arrive back maimed, and your train gets delayed outside the station until the cheering crowds have dispersed.......

Yeah..."reality" is sometimes a beeyyoootch!!! It's called exploring and then discovery. The hack would be like the Queen believing the hype that the earth is round instead of flat. Sometimes the explorer commissioned by the Queen gets lost at sea and dies. Sometimes they get lost and marooned on a deserted island but eventually finds thier way back. But sometimes...they get lost and in the process makes a new discovery....like America.

Bricked as far as photo's go, apparently.

It's all a matter of odds - for instance, only last month I learned that I was the illegitimate grandson of the Emperor of Japan, and that a powerful Japanese political lobby wants me to be installed upon the throne and hailed as a new Mikado.

This is exciting stuff - but, realistically, I have to assess the chances of me occupying the Japanese throne as, at least, 1000,0000 to 1.

Which, imo, compares favourably with the odds of the 'hacking community' caring about a destroyed GH2 - currently at 5000,0000 to 1....
