Hello,

I'm getting video error when I use ClipWrap or FCP 7 to convert the videos to ProRes.
If I use 5dtorgb the videos look fine.

What other software other then 5dtorgb can I use to transcode the .mts to prores?

I'm on a mac and I have use premier but I have the no audio problem.

Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the help!

Have you ever use 5DtoRGB?

I just wonder if will provide the best encoding for ProRes.

I think ClipWrap and FCP can't understand the hack encoding.

At the moment i'm using Cluster x Drewnet 8 and Drewnet sharp 2

Thanks,

Lately, I've been using Brorsoft MTS Converter for Mac (http://www.brorsoft.com/mts-converter-mac/index.html) to transcode from GH2 to ProRes 422 (LT) and it works great in Premiere Pro 6. It has a robust selection of presets and you can customize output settings to just about anything. Also, you can batch convert and it seems to actually do the work faster than 5dtoRGB

I've pretty much used them all, including 5DtoRGB with hacked and non-hacked .mts clips from the GH2. I can't state for fact which is the "best" encoder and I honestly can't see any visual difference between the encodes.

I too have had similar "no audio" transcode issues with 5DtoRGB, not with GH2 generated clips but for example, I cannot use it to encode clips shot with my NEX-VG20 or I end up with no audio. This issue in perticular is what led me to Brorsoft and I have been using it for all of my work lately.
