GH2 Twixtor Slow motion 720p60

TEST
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2wmxvqihzJw

my first test with the GH2
-Slow motion with Twixtor 4.5 in After Effects
-you can really only see the motion blur, when there is a lot of motion, close to the camera(for instance at the end of the test)
-I figure it will look good as long as i film slow motion far away, or do very little motion close up.

I don't think it would make a difference. It has to do with the effect's capabilities, a lot of ppl use twixtor for Call of Duty videos and they have ran into the same problem

this looks really good, im impressed. what were ur twixtor settings

i admit ive never ramped the speed like that successfully

In after effects i had the FrameRate for my compistion at 59.94 which is what my video was recorded at, i tried one exporting a video from AE at 59.94fps and one from Vegas at 30fps from a 60fps timeline. It made virtually no difference between these two videos when streaming.

Everything was normal in twixtor i left the settings the way it came. Slowest i went was 3%. i think 12% is a good sweet spot though unless your looking for the look that the 3% gives :D

the key is really to minimize the motion that your shooting, and if possible have whatever your shooting not very close to the camera. also make sure your shooting 720p60...obvs

What shutter speed did you shoot at?

LoL i feel like such a noob. I used to shoot with a DVX100, i didn't even know you could change the shutter speed on a video. I just got my GH2 last friday, im gonna go try this again. I feel like i now understand life, it makes so much more sense now.

thank you sir

With Twixtor more often then not the faster your shutter speed the easier and better the program performs. With a faster shutter (think 1/1000) there is still enough detail in the motion elements of the frame for it to draw vectors well enough for a passable look.

Things to keep in mind to help it even more are simple backgrounds, locked down camera, and not having elements entering and leaving the sides/top/bottom of your frame.
