GH2 to monitor HDMI cable solutions

About to pick up a GH2 and Marshall 5" to replace one of my GH13s. What is the best HDMI cable solution? ie which brand/length/right angle or straight connector etc.?

It's going to be used primarily on a Redrock shoulder mount and I want to avoid ripped/falling out HDMI cables as much as possible.

If you want the most secure connection, there are now locking HDMI cables available. But they're really expensive - a 2 foot cable will set you back $50:

Does the locking HDMI cable come in a mini?
It might be best just to lock it down to a rig with a cable clamp, works great for me.
Either way you will have to be carefull as the LCD screen will hit the HDMI and av/usb connectors when it is open all the way out and tilted. Its a bad spot for a connection bay.

It seems to just be normal HDMI. I'm guessing and thinner, lighter (cheaper?) cable may be better? Big, heavy cables would place a lot of strain on the connector, I guess.

Hi there,

does anyone know, whether it's possible to output a signal from the GH2 to a full-HD computer monitor, using a hdmi > Dvi cable?
And something else, it does indeed look like some kind of mini-hdmi to me, normal hdmi plugs are thicker - or am I wrong here?
Don't have any HDMI cables here, otherwise I would've tried it myself, of course

The thing is, I don't find anything like a mini-hdmi >> Dvi cable on the market, at least here in Germany...
I know generally speaking, some 7" monitor would probably be a better choice - but I though, for demonstration purposes as well as for focusing, a computer monitor could work.
