GH2 to Broadcast workflow?

Can anyone suggest a worklfow from a GH2(hacked) to Fcp (either 7 or X) and then output to a file that could be broadcasted as a local Television commerical(ntsc), and also maintain the highest quality possible?

Work backward from the specs and requirements the broadcaster will supply you with.

and...make sure you legalise your video and audio for broadcast.


The editing process is normal (as per usual) but maintain your source quality through out until final Master encode (as per the broadcast spec which will be compressed if it is a file based delivery).

The GH2 hacked or otherwise does not mean the workflow is any different.

To echo above, I just did my first cable commercial, get the full tech specs from the tech people at the cable company. They will give you the skinny on what codec, what wrapper, etc.... The biggie will be you'll have to convert it to either 30P or 60i if you shot it 24P.
