Hi
I received my Tascam DR-60d and am borrowing a sennheiser mke400 + a GH2.
I bought a 3.5mm to 2.5mm adapter. Connecting the mke400 to the GH2 via the 2.5/3.5mm adapter works but connecting the mke400 to the tascam then having the unit output to the gh2 only makes noise (tried 3.5mm to TRS and straight into the tascam via 3.5mm). The tascam + sennheiser does work either.

Sorry, just to clarify: do you mean the Sennheiser into the Tascam "doesn't work either" or that it does work?

If the Sennheiser into the Tascam does not work then step one is debugging that before worrying about output to the GH2.

got the sennheiser to work with the tascam by using a balanced 1/8 to XLR (rode version)
but the output from tascam to gh2 does not work

And you've tried monitoring out of the output jack with headphones (with or without adapter) to ensure that the unit is outputting signal?

got it to work
i turned everything off and turned it back and
but now there's a buzzing sound thats extremely audible--anyone know why?
thanks!

It depends on the type of buzzing or hum. Could be anything from the gain settings to issues with a cable to interference or feedback or grounding.

But I would start by checking the cables, gain settings and grounding before worrying about anything more exotic.

I'm struggle too with GH@ and DR60D. Shutgun mic goes to tascam in xlr hole, then 2.5/3.5 cable go from GH2 to Camera IN or OUT? Is purpose to record sound to tascam and gh2 at same time? So confuse now.

3.5 to 2.5 adapter should go from camera OUT of tascam and into the 2.5mm of GH2

whats interesting is that the buzz is gone but there is hiss/noise: very bad amount.
