GH2 stops recording when switching source on external monitor

Hi,
Anyone knows if there is a way to fix this issue?
the setup is like this:
gh2 connected to 8.4" panasonic monitor via HDMI. 2nd camera panasonic 160 connected to same monitor via SDI.
every time I switch between the two on the monitor source button the gh2 stops recording.
thanks.

There is no way to fix this, since the GH2 is very sensitive when it comes to connecting anything through the HDMI. Several functions stops working, so it has to stop the recording in order to block some of the features once you switch.

The Canon 7D (and all the other Canon DSLR's) had the same issue. If the small mini HDMI output on the camera became loose and lost signal for a split second the camera would drop out of record. In your case the only fix is to use a dedicated monitor for each camera.

Does the same thing happen on the gh3? Does it stop recording when you try to lock focus, either by pushing the shutter half way or touching the screen?

No, it keeps recording but your question has nothing to do with the HDMI signal discussed in this thread.
