GH2 GH2 - Smooth Zooming?

I tried to find the answer to this, and someone in a Canon forum posted about this device:

Essentially, I'm trying to be able to do a natural slow zoom. Think Kubrick or Altman. I find just using a zoom lens, gives it a jerky movement. And I wasn't sure if that product above would be compatible with a m4/3 lens or not...or if that device would actually help.

What do you guys use?

You can get the same thing than the red rock think for MUCH cheaper ($2.50) at Bed Bath and Beyond. It's called a jar opener. I use it for focus and zoom and it works.

Oh man, that's awesome! Thanks for linking me! I just read about these new panasonic lenses: http://www.dpreview.com/news/2011/08/26/panasoniclumix_x_45-175mm Im guessing they would work best to mimic a camera like the HVX, has anyone used? Definitely gonna get that jar opener!
