GH2 Shoulder Rig

This is my version of the Bulldog shoulder rig that I use to film parts of our www.SantaFeTvShow.com. The display is in a comfortable position, and the rig feels very solid and it is very well balanced even without weights in the back. The GH2 mounts a 50mmCanon FD lens and I used the lens shade from one of our EX1s attached to a 77mm step up adaptor. No vignetting at 14mm :)

Looks like modified Indie Compact rig.
I like the handles. Is this their new version handles, or you made them yourself?
Also shoulder support looks slightly different.

I bought the indiesystem ultracompact a few weeks ago and those do look like they are the new handles. Im personally not a bog fan of them. They slip alot and im always tightening them.

Yes Vitaly, it does look a little bit like the "Ultracompact". However, he added an extra bar to the right that clamps onto the right rail. The solid arm is attached to those two right rails and it comes up into a "C" shape with an extra handle to hold the rig from the top if you want. I modified it slightly and attached the monitor at the end of the vertical bar making it ergonomically very usable. The entire RIG is surprisingly light and very well balanced. Tim at Indisystem will have this rig on his site soon.

Big fan of you, by the way!! I think you have done an amaziong job with the GH13, and who knows, may be even on the GH2. But if it turns out not possible to hack, I would totally understand.

Best regards.

Yeah, shoulder mount seems to be improved also.
And I really like the new handles. As for slipping a lot. I suggest you to use fine sand paper on carbon rod (as I understand it now uses carbon rod here also). It is common for carbon bike stems to slip sometimes also.
In fact, I really like this new rig compared to my Compact rig.
Now adjustable camera plate is much more stable, as two clamps, instead of one clamp are used.
