GH2 GH2 "Shoot W/O Lens" in iA mode disabled?!?

I know that GH2 gives a preview when in iA mode with Canon FD 50mm 1.4 or any other non-Panasonic lenses.
But what I discovered is that although giving the preview, GH2 doesn't allow shooting in iA mode, even if "Shoot W/O Lens" is set to ON. Is it normal and is it possible to make it possible? If I remember enough, I think my previous GH1 allows this option even in its iA mode.
So?

If you think about it, iA mode is an auto mode where the camera sets up the lens and camera based on what it is reading. However, with a manual lens there is no way for the camera to communicate with the lens, making the mode redundant.

So yes, this is normal.

Yes, that's the first logic that came into my mind as an explanation, but it works pretty well as a preview. Anyway...
