I haven't participated much on this forum, but I'd like to start. The regular film making forum I've been going to is quickly fading, and I figured dvx was a bigger, more flexible forum to jump into. I bought the GH2 months ago, and after experimenting with it for many weeks, I hacked it. Unfortunately, I thought the hacked footage had an invariably hideous amount of noise in blacks/shadows or any underexposed areas so I switched back to the unhacked version. IMO, it looks the same... and much better now that most of the noise is gone.
It's been a long road, but I really feel like I've got the "look" down, and would like to start expanding myself in bigger community. Here's some unhacked footage from yesterday with very little grading and Rgrain's 35mm texture on top of it. Please let me know what you think! Thx!
