GH2 raw footage

some new footage popped up on vimeo recently.
Consider me unimpressed so far...lots of artifacting in darker areas.
17mbps 50i pal footage as far as can tell

You may be, as may many people on the forum, but this is a US based site and many of us are NTSC and would like to see raw 24Mb 24p footage.

Hmm... Hollywood is also in the US and shoot film at 24fps as well as every other camera that offers it. Also, why judge 17Mbps footage when you can shoot at the higher bitrate 24Mbps even if you don't plan on shooting in that mode? Wouldn't it give you a better idea of 25P if they add it in at the higher bitrate?

That being said...even if its the lower 17mbps these kind of artifacts are unacceptable. Why would it be acceptable just because there is higher setting?
Its not all about bitrate its also about how the codec is implimented.
