GH2 question: does it make sense to buy GH2 body only???

I own a hacked GH1 that I bought in 2009 with the 14-140mm lens.

A while back I ordered my GH2 (body only) from Panasonic Direct, but now I'm wondering if I did the right thing. I thought that the 14-140mm that came with my GH1 was going to be the same lens they package with the GH2. Am I wrong?

Is there anything new and improved on the 14-140mm lens that ships with the GH2 over the one that shipped with the GH1? Or are we talking about the exact same lens?

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Discussion has been there may be minor tweaks, but other than firmware, same as you already have. I ordered my two with the 14-42 lens because for $100, what the heck !! :-)

I got mine body-only and am using the 14-140 from the GH1. I haven't heard anything that makes me think the 14-140 is any different from when it was first released, other than user-updatable firmware.

I got my GH2 body only from Panasonic Direct EPP and purchased the 14-45 that has the best sharpness of the 14mm IS zooms @14mm /F3.5 and the Voigtländer Nokton 25mm f/0.95 . I also have the two PK-m4/3rds adapters ( one with aperture ring for Pentax DA lenses ) for my Pentax lenses from 6.5mm to 2350mm.
