GH2 Pre-orders

Well after my Amazon pre-order was delayed twice I found a GH2 in stock at Vistek.ca and ordered it. Now BOTH are on the way! Amazon surprised me and shipped my unit today after delaying it until after Dec 25th. Probably a number of cancellations caused me to moved up. I didn't cancel in time bc I wanted to wait until my GH2 arrived. So I have the one from Vistek.ca for sale on this site. PM if interested. I'm +42 selling on a prominent photography site, I can provide details to serious buyers.

Canadian. Panasonic Canada and Panasonic USA are two separate entities. Any GH2 bought in Canada will have to be sent cross-border for warranty repair, the same way we have to for any cross-border purchase we make from the states.

I have my 20/1.7 and other oddments in house. I should get the GH2, 14-140, and 7-14 on Friday (fingers crossed).

Guys, what's happened with Panasonic??? It's impossible to buy a GH2 in the USA, out of stock in all stores, my gosh.

Please, if anyone knows any store that has the camera, let me know.

I just bought one last night at Kenmore Camera north of Seattle, they said they still had some 14-42 kits and ship nation wide.

Just came in today. The battery is charging. The lenses are cooke speed panchros and the arri adapter is from Hawk's factory.

I ordered it 12/3 from panny direct. Oh Holiday spending..

This is a very common with popular Panasonic products. It happened with the HVX200, the LX3, GH1, GF1 and now the GH2. Nothing new here at all. Totally expected.
 
I cancelled my 14-140 order from Amazon & went with a 14-42 & 20 from Kenmore which came in under my $1500 budget - looks like I could maybe swing a 45-200 ($258 from BH) would that be a good complement to the other two lenses or should I try to find a good deal on a 14-140?

You will VERY rarely need to shoot anything at 200mm (at least for video) on the GH1/2, it essentially gets you to 400mm and with ETC mode you will probably at most need a 100mm lens (in 35mm full frame world equivalent).
 
Hello Guys,

yesterday 6:00PM (-3GMT) the Amazon released 5 DMC GH2 14-42 Lens Silver. I got the second in the stock. Almost 8:00PM there wasn't no one more in stock, the guys are "hunting" this camera hehehehehehe ;)

Keep your fingers crossed. UPS says my GH2 arrived in my town last night and is "Out for shipping" today! This could be the best Christmas ever!

I have that lens and it works, but really does kinda suck for video. I thought at the low end it might work well enough, and used it to record a seminar / market research gig. If the presenter moved forward or back much at all, real quick he was out of focus. But for the $220 I paid for it on Ebay, it will come in handy one day.

Provantage is a reputable shop. I have purchased many stuff from them since 2000 and never had a problem.
