GH2 Pre-orders

Panasonic actually used another very common reference# to track all the packages not just your order#. I don't want to post here since it will show other people's packages if you know the destination zip. I thought it was kind of neat they did that but it also can lead to stolen packages.

Thanks for the tracking tip. UPS says my camera is on the truck out for delivery today... I never got an email from Panny Direct and my debit card as of this morning has not been charged.
 
Got one! Waiting for the battery to charge.

I suppose a whole slug of people have got theirs by now, but I'll try to do a couple tests with my c mount zooms tonight.

My Amazon 14-140 kit has shipped and should arrive tomorrow, although I just now realized that they are reporting CO sales to the Department of Revenue for use tax collection purposes. Son of a ...
 
After I charged the battery on my GH2 today after UPS delivered it I stuck my 50mm Pentax lens on it and shot my first test video.

Joe, how long did the battery take to charge that first time? Mine arrives tomorrow from a friend shipping California to Quebec. OMG I can't wait!!!!
 
Camera came tonight, no email notice, not even a charge on my debit yet.
I was on a shoot tonight so I haven't had time to play. tomorrow!
 
Ordered from PD on Dec. 1st, UPS tracking says it should arrive today.

I also received zero communication, no calls, no notices, no shipping info, nothing. Only way I know it's supposed to be delivered today is the "track by reference" thing.
 
I ordered mine on the 12th and the PD rep just told me that they are out of stock even though their website reads 1 to 3 days to ship.

She could not give me any info and will have supervisor call me back. If I didnt have a corporate discount, I would have cancelled.
