GH2 Pre-orders

I called about the disappearing items; according to the rep, its just a known tech issue.

Exactly. I just keep happily using my GH 13 for video and D90 for stills until all the issues with the GH2 and D7000 are resolved then I am getting them both. Down the line when all the issues are resolved with the AF100 then get one too. Good things come to those who wait and have reliable equipment to work with.
 
Changed my shipping address on Amazon for my order because I am gonna be somewhere else over the holidays and the estimated date changed from Nov 23-Dec 24th to Dec 10th to Dec 24th...maybe they know something...if it was just altering the date to keep up with time it would've changed it to Dec 8th to Dec 24th.
 
I just canceled both of my Amazon orders because Sammy’s just overnighted a Gray GH2 to me. I bet Amazon will get them soon. However, I just couldn’t wait any longer and Samy’s is so nice to deal with. Apparently, the Gray GH2s are easier to get right now than the Black ones because so many people ordered the Black ones. Apparently, when Amazon canceled the Gray orders everyone shy’d away from them. They are shipping now though. Should get mine tomorrow morning.
 
LOL. My order lost its shipping address in order status details. Amazing. I knew Panny Direct would be a mess again!
 
Woot, just picked mine up from Leo's Camera downtown Vancouver. I snagged last of 3, and they don't expect any more until January.
 
I just got a call from Panasonic wanting to confirm that I knew I ordered the body only GH2 not a GH2 with a lens. If they're making these calls it could explain part of why the phones are so backed up. When I asked the guy when it was shipping he said 2-3 business days.

When did you order?
 
I think Panasonic delayed shipping of our cameras because they were probably making calls to customer if they actually want body only. Originally when I ordered the picture on the web had camera lens but now they've updated without lens.

What issues are you refering too.. I've seen the banding thing but to me overall it seems like a step up over the GH13 in terms of functionality atleast.

I was the fellow to get the first one :^)

... and couldn't help overhear a telephone coversation, someone asking about the GH2 even as I was paying for mine. Leo's thinks it's possible that they could get some bodies-only before Xmas but full kit in January now.
