GH2 Live Composite Out

Anyone know if the GH2 will output live SD composite while recording? I have one on pre-order and hope that since HDMI is live that composite will be too.

I'd like that as well, just because I've got bought one of these goofy little lcd tv's I bought at Target for $30, and I'd like to get some use out of it.

I need to broadcast the signal for framing over radio a couple miles. Currently the only easy way is SD.

Anyone know? I've looked in the manual but can't read Japanese...

Hmmm... I actually am thinking it won't do it, just a guess. The reason being it would require the sensor to output different framerates and resolutions simultaneous. I'm not an engineer but I believe this is part of why live HDMI and live composite could not be added to GH1, and why live HDMI on GH2 changes based on whether or not you're recording (sub 1080p 60i before recording, full 1080/24p when recording.)

Right, but all the Canons do it. The TM700 does it (And other panny camcorders) and a ton of Point and Shoot digicams, so they must be scaling no problem. The GH1 did it when NOT recording, I don't think it is a hardware issue at all, just marketing/bean counting/feature scamming.

Composite out seems to be enabled with the trashcan keypress (LCD must be out) while not recording..same as GH1. Goes away when recording starts. :(

thanks ben. now i remember i already read that ages ago :) Still, I cant get it completely clean yet, what remains is that touch symbol and the quickmenu item. any chance to turn them of?

Exactly i already had found it. Also the lcd works at the same time, unlike the GH1. (if i remember right)
To keep it working while recording is another thing we should add to our wishlist for vitaly.
